Consultation: After doing some preliminary research on your own, go see several board-certified plastic surgeons in your area. Discuss your goals. Look at before & after photos. Learn about the drawbacks of implants. And see if it feels right for you, or not.

Great option: With a high satisfaction rate and good safety record. However any surgery has risks and these should be understood prior to undertaking the operation. Fat grafting now offers a whole new option. Identify friends with implants who are willing to share their experience, ask trusted medical personnel for referrals and schedule a few consultations.

Choose wisely: Find a plastic surgeon you feel comfortable with. See his or her before and after pictures and speak with previous patients if possible.

Consult: Go see a board certified plastic surgeon. The asps and asaps websites have them listed. See a few before making a decision. Go over their before/after photos. Ask questions. Remember this is elective surgery. The patient is in the driver's seat. Together, you and the plastic surgeon will review the goals and see if they are obtainable. http://www.jjrothmd.com/procedures/breast-augmentation.
