Maybe: Degaralex suppresses certain hormone signals. Theoretically this is reversible, but if you are taking it for prostate cancer, you should remain on it.

No: Degarelix temporarily blocks the production of the pituitary hormone that regulates the secretion of testosterone in men (or estrogen in females). The effect is reversible upon cessation of the medication. It is reversible chemical castration.
