Support : Find a way to support your desire to stop. There are online forums or in person groups. If you feel comfortable in a 12 step meeting look into http://saa-recovery.Org. If you don't want to address your addiction in a group setting, try individual therapy. There are lots of reasons that people develop masturbation addictions, you need support to find out what's going on with you. Good luck.

True Addiction?: Is it a true addiction? That is, do you do it compulsively, think about masturbating when you are at work or school, and are you having negative social consequences from masturbating (e.g., masturbating replacing normal romantic relationships or legal problems due to public masturbation)? If so, you certainly need psychotherapy to help stop. (see comment below).
