Lock jaw: "lock jaw" usually refers to tetanus -- an infection caused by the bacterium clostridium tetani, found in soil, dust and animal feces. It can come in through a deep flesh wound, where the spores release a toxin that affects your nervous system, resulting in "lock jaw." eventually your breathing muscles can be paralyzed, causing death. Prevention is through vaccination, not vitamins.
