Possibly yes: The kola (not koala) nut is not part of other tree nuts. The nut and its extract have significant amounts of caffeine and theobromine, t e stimulating substances in coffee and tea. Also, among people with nut allergy, some may tolerate certain nuts.

Test: You may want to have a food allergy test or food challenge test before eating this type of tree nut, if you have tree nut allergies.
