Mucus or saliva: Is it coming from the mouth or down your throat ? Do you cough or just spit ? Are you on medication ? There are medications that make you hyper-salivate . If you can give us more information and clarify your symptoms , we can help better.

Every few days i'll wake up in the morning and spit up brown clumps ( i think it's mucus) and a little light red. I don't smoke, nothing else wrong.
Every morning flem or mucus i spit out as soon as i wake lasting about a half hour to forty five minutes. I've had about 6mo. What could it be.
