Pressure: If it is an anterior nose bleed, which is the most common, the best treatment is pinching the nose for 15 minutes. Do not releas pressure during this time and don't blow your nose or stiff hard. If this does not work, you may want to get checked out to make sure there isn't any contributor that needs to be addressed.
