Can babesiosis return after it was cured? my son has similar symptoms, but i'm hoping its the flu.

Humph : It is hard to eradicate and not uncommon to need retreatment. Have your son checked out as soon as possible.

Yes: Although uncommon, babesia can recurr and may require multiple courses of treatment in select patients. He should see his doctor for a blood smear.

Babesiosis: Unfortunately, this can recur. Dx is confirmed with PCR/ antibodies.
