What are the benefits of sitting on a swiss ball while working?

Core muscle control: And activation are two of the rationales behind this activity. The idea is that while sitting on the ball you must maintain your balance by activating core muscles. It also requires you to utilize your lower extremites more while sitting. Some may suggest it is a "mini" pilates activity.

Works the core-a bit: You can work your core muscles and improve your posture while sitting and working. However, new research shows that it is important to not sit for great lengths of time. In fact. It is recommended to stand up every 20 min even if it is for 1-2 minutes. Even better is having a work station that can raise and lower so that you can do a lot of computer work while standing.
