Not on low dose: When compared with women using nonhormonal methods of birth control, women using NuvaRing or low dose pills do not show any difference in weight gain. Unfortunately, most women tend to gain weight as they get older, and this probably has more to do with the slowing of the metabolic rate than anything else.
