What do you recommend for achilles tendon injuries?

Specialist eval: A full eval by a sports medicine specialist first. It must be determined if the injury is a tear, complete or partial, or just inflammation. The treatment is quite different depending on the diagnosis. Basics before eval include, rest, ice, elevation, good supportive shoe wear, and ibuprofen. Crutches may be necessary if you can not support your weight on it.

Several things: Ice, rest, pad in shoe to elevate the heel to take pressure off the achilles tendon, anti-inflamatory meds.
