Culture : Ask for a culture to rule out a bacterial intertrigo secondary to strep or another bacteria. See dermatologist or urologist. If indicated, they can try treating with ciclopirox 0.77% cream and a low potency topical steroid cream for now. Can start an oral antibiotic if culture is positive. Consider a skin biopsy to rule out paget's disease, bowen's disease or another condition if not improving.
