Can i die from uterine prolapse if i ignore it?

Doubtful: Genital prolapse is not a life and death condition. It can affect quality of life - but it is unlike that genital prolapse could prove fatal. The risk for infection does increase as the prolapse tissues breakdown due to the exposue and UTI risk increases - but even then, treatment of the infection is all that would be required - however, left untreated an infection could prove life threatening.

Rarely: Severe prolapse can cause partial urinary retention, or inability to completely empty the bladder. This can silently damage the kidneys, causing renal failure and even death of a kidney. This happens only with neglected severe prolapse, usually in an elderly woman.

Unlikely: Uterine prolapse usually causes symptoms of discomfort, such as a full feeling in the vagina or a heavy feeling in the pelvis. Only if the uterus becomes completely prolapsed (entirely outside of the vagina) and the tissue becomes severely ulcerated and infected could it be dangerous. It is unlikely to ever become this serious if you have regular pelvic exams.
