Condom use?: With a condom and first time, practically zero, but if you are worried about your partner's honesty, it may be higher especially if you noticed sores around his genitals or mucus areas (oral to genital contact). Most importantly, practice safe sex to prevent other unwanted complications. Good luck.

Still possible: Type 2 herpes is mostly "sexually" transmitted and type 1 often isn't. Type 1 causes oral lesions and is know as a "cold sore" often on the lips. Genital herpes is usually type 2 although 1 can also cause genital lesions.Even without penetration you can get herpes from intimate contact, sometimes people shed the virus without symptoms or right before they break out in a lesion.
