Yes: Diabetes can occur at any time. Pregnancy can bring out diabetes in someone who is at risk. Gestational diabetes is a condition in which sugars rise as a result of the pregnancy and typically requires treatment while pregnant, but many times resolves after pregnancy.

Yes: Gestational diabetes can occur anytime during pregnancy. If you have symptoms/signs of diabetes, you should get tested again (just blood tests) even if you'd tested negative earlier on in pregnancy.
