A member asked:

I'm pregnant and after i ate dinner my blood sugar level was 206. does it harm the baby or me if it is this high?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Talk to you doctor: Sugars need to be more tightly controlled during pregnancy for both you and your baby's health. In general, the goal is to have a majority of sugars below 120 two hours after you eat (140 for 1 hour). If you haven't already you need to talk to your doctor about your sugars as soon as possible. Keeping a record of your eating and your sugars is very helpful for your doctor.
