There Are Many: Depression can manifest in elderly people in the same ways as younger people. Main symptoms: feeling bad about yourself, losing interest in things that used to bring you joy, fatigue, poor concentration, poor self-esteem, guilt, pessimism about the future, wanting to die or hurt oneself in some way, sleep problems, eating problems. An elderly person doesn't need all symptoms to be depressed.
