Not common: I would not say lots of people have adhesive capsulitis but it is not uncommon either. Most of the time it happens for reasons unknown in your non-dominant arm. It is best treated with management of the symptoms and rest. I can take upwards of 12-18 months to resolve. On rare occasions, surgery, therapy and injections are helpful.
