White sploches: Your child may have pityriasis or tinea versicolor which is a fungus and lasts about 6-8 weeks.

Fungus among us: This sounds a lot like tinea versicolor. It is benign, is treatable, and is easily diagnosed by appearance alone. Take her to the doctor to confirm and to discuss treatment options.
