No: Children, especially in daycare or early grades, where there is a lot of close contact, may often bring home staph. But MRSA is still not that common in most communities.

Yes: Mrsa may not necessarily be found in schools but any public area is a potential site for harboring this infection. One such site in schools especially is gyms- and on dirty gym equipment such as football gear that is not cleaned properly.
