Inside/outside job: An ectopic pregnancy is a fertilized egg implanting outside the uterus as opposed to a normal pregnancy inside the uterus. The symptoms are missed menses, cramping, pain, spotting, fainting and sometimes rupture of the fallopian tube with intensive intra-abdominal bleeding.
