Depends on cycle: If your cycles are regular and monthly, you can't implant near the time of your period. Implantation usually occurs a few days after mid-cycle (usually ~2 weeks before menses). If you miss your period, you can check then. If your cycles are irregular, a blod test will be more accurate. Check with your obgyn good luck.

When period expected: Implantation after ferilizing an egg can occur within a few days of ovulation (around 14 days from start of your last period). That leaves you on average a week before your period should start. If this type of flow (short and light without red blood) is atypical for you, you may still be pregnant.
