Maybe kidney stone: Flank pain with shooting characteristics and spasm feeling of the kidney could be consistent with a stone in the kidney. Also could be an infection. Otherwise could be a musculoskeletal strain or other causes. This should be evaluated further with laboratory testing and imaging studies.
