Men, 85 years old.narrowing of the aortic valve in the heart.valve area 0.8cm242mmhghe is normal, no pain , no nothing.how long does he can live?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Depend on symptoms: This is a severe aortic stenosis as per valve area and the gradient across the aortic valve. You need a cardiovascular surgeon evaluation. Most common symptoms chest pain, fatigue, shortness of breath, syncopes. Your age is not a contraindication for surgery. A less invasive procedure is a trans catheter aortic valve replacement (tavr). If you are symptomatic the risk of death increase.
