A simple blood test: Herpes antibodies can easily be found in the blood - so it's a simple blood draw. This will help with the diagnosis since some people never have an outbreak. (Herpes has adapted to humans over thousands of years, so unlike Ebola which kills you, this virus is more benign) HSV-2 prefers the genital tract, although HSV-1 can be found with orogenital activity. See a doc to confirm a rash as herpes.
