Vitamins: Fat soluble vitamins are vitamins A, D, E, and K. All of the other vitamins are water soluble and tend to get excreted in urine. Solubility is a property of a substance to be soluble, like orange juice concentrate stirring into water as an example of water solubility. Some substances are happier in a lipid or fat environment and are not water soluble, like oil. Vitamins are like this too.
