It depends: The gallbladder and liver are common sources of pain on the right upper side. To evaluate this, i would start off with an abdominal ultrasound to look at your liver and gallbladder. I might also order a blood count and metabolic panel that contained liver function tests. Depending on these findings, i might move forward with a move complete GI evaluation or get a ct scan.
