Probably not tanning: It sounds like you have a rash. It's difficult to diagnose without seeing it. Is the rash on your extremities, trunk or both? Is it symmetrical on your extremities. You need an examination to determine what this is. It is probably safe to apply and otc lotion like caladryl to relieve the itch.
