Light skin patches: If pigment is lost completely it is likely vitiligo, if light patches are seen it might be a fungus (tinea versicolor) . See a dermatologist for an examination.

Light patches of ski: First, the question is are the patches "light" or "white"? If white (no pigment), then vitiligo is the likely diagnosis. If the skin is lighter, usually dry skin or eczema (i.e. Nummular dermatitis) can lead to this. Dry skin care is recommended and occasionally a topical steroid is needed. Hope this helps.

Patchy skin: Irregular skin discoloration can be due to inflammation due to rashes, vascular changes, bacterial or fungal infections of skin, ^ or v in melanin production.
