Surgical excision...: "tumor" is a nonspecific word that can refer to either a benign new growth or a malignant growth. Most people think of "tumors" as solid proliferations of new cells. Tumors in the thigh/leg could be derived from many different types of tissues. One of the most common types of thigh masses would be lipomas. These are benign accumulations of fatty tissue that can be treated by surgical removal.
