Local care: You have just drained an inflamed, sometimes infected, abscess. Warm baths/showers to clean the area, followed by cool compresses. Folk wisdom will suggest following this with some witch hazel. Treat the area gently and it will settle down over time. Next time avoid abusing the skin by popping pimples.
