Is the radical lymph node dissection a risky thing to do?

Not necessarily: Performed by a well trained surgeon, radical lymph node surgery is not a major procedure. It could be an outpatient surgery, unless a deep intra-abdominal surgery is planned. There can be nerve numbness or swelling after surgery that is usually temporary.
