Insomnia and anxiety: Anxiety is a common contributor to insomnia. Treating the underlying cause of insomnia (i.e., anxiety or worrying) is most effective. Medications such as seroquel (quetiapine) and cognitive behavioral therapy are both effective in accomplishing this. Different medicines work for different people in different situations but talk with your doctor if you are concerned about it.
