A member asked:

I currently have a uti and the nurse said my blood pressure was high, 133 over 95. could this be related if i have no history of high bp?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

BP of 133/95: At your level, your BP is not high. Your systolic should be < 140. You may develop hbp later on it life. I would modify any risk factors you may have, such as obesity, smoking or inactivity. At present, you do not seem to need any BP meds. To be sure, see a physician.
