Pooping: An infant does not have to have a daily bowl movement. Often, as infants age, the frequency of the bowel movements decrease, especially with breast fed babies.

If it gets hard: Breast fed babies can have a little poo each feed or a big blowout every 7-10 days.Fussing babies do so with their breathing muscle & pooch out the stomach in the process, this doesn't meen they have a tummy ache. Formula fed are usually more predictable @ 1-2/d but skippping a day is ok if it's still soft when they go.
