No: In general, tonsillectomy is for recurrent tonsillitis or tonsillar hypertrophy(enlargement) that is causing obstructive symptoms in the throat, not the nose. For the nose, there are intranasal procedures. Sometimes the adenoids(upper throat, behind the nose) can cause nasal obstruction and these can be removed. See an ENT to evaluate your problem.
