Specializes in Thoracic Surgery

Depends on disease: Non cancerous lung disease is treated by pulmonologists and lifestyle modification. Early lung cancer is demonstrated to be best treated by anatomic resection with complete nodal sampling or node dissection by a board certified thoracic surgeon. Additional/adjunct therapies including chemotherapy and radiation therapy may be indicated based on final pathology staging.
