Reinfection: You and your partner are possibly reinfecting each other. You need to make sure that both you and your partner are adequately treated for the yeast to prevent this.

When is it safe to have sex after a yeast infection?

Symptoms gone: Once the itching and irritation of a yeast infection are gone it is fine to have sex again. You can actually have sex while you still have a yeast infection - it will be uncomfortable though. If you do have sex while you are taking vaginal medication for yeast, don't have sex right after you've put the medication in, or it will get wiped out of the vagina and won't treat you.
