Many causes...: More information will be needed to reach an accurate diagnosis. If you've had a recent infection in the same region, these may be enlarged lymph node & related. What is the tempo of the swelling & pain? Where are they located? Are they tender? Soft or firm? You should see your physician if they are not getting better for a full history and exam, and perhaps lab tests.
