A 34-year-old member asked:

which type is silica x for homeopathy?

Silica: Silica is a mineral remedy from the 3rd row of the periodic table. It's sometimes needed in patients who have very low self-confidence, and who long to be seen in a special way by others. They may be very obstinate, yet extremely anxious about details. Silica can also help in certain kinds of pharyngitis, sinusitis, and abscesses. The "x" means a potency on the decimal scale, such as 12x.

Trigeminal Neuralgia: Is challenging diagnosis to live with. Allopathic treatment is generally only palliative. A well chosen homeopathic remedy has helped immensely; with patient testimonies available.

Sinus rinses: Sinus rinses (carefully measured and balanced) are helpful for many sinus problems, including sinusits. In case of a true bacterial sinusitis, antibiotics are certainly recommended.

Is there homapathy remedies for wpw?

Dr. Michael Fenster
Cardiology 31 years experience
No: In general the answer is no. Homeopathy works by the premise of gradually modulating the body's response to something through the the exposure of minute amounts of a substance over time. The problem with WPW is due to the presence of an abnormal tract of tissue that conducts the heart's normal impulse around the normal path and bypasses normal safeguards built into that conduction system.

How does water homeopathy work?

Dr. Randy Baker

Please clarify: I'm a homeopath but am not sure what you mean by "water homeopathy." most homeopathic remedies are sold as pellets, but they can be dissolved in water. One advantage of using remedies this way is their potency can be adjusted further by shaking and diluting. Many md's believe homeopathy doesn't work. I have no doubt it works, but i don't think anyone knows exactly how it works, despite many theories!

Alternative medicines like homeopathy for meningioma?

2 doctor answers2 doctors weighed in
Dr. Pamela Pappas
Psychiatry 42 years experience
Meningioma: Meningioma is usually a slow-growing, benign tumor of the protective coverings of the brain/spinal cord. They can be found incidentally on MRI scans -- and unless pressing on other structures, they're usually observed rather than operated upon. I do know of cases where homeopathy has seemed to resolve such tumors. It requires astute, complete casetaking by a skilled professional homeopath.
