Be sure: Be very clear about the diagnosis. Many have no symptoms, and those with symptoms may respond well to physical therapy. Surgery becomes an option for properly evaluated persons.

Thoracic outlet: Physical therapy is able to help greater than 90% of people with this problem. For the rest, as a last resort, surgery including first rib resection is a possibility.
