Could you tell me what are ovarian cysts and how do i know if have them?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Growth on ovary: An ovarian cyst is a growth on the ovary. One type is functional cyst, on that will go away on its own. The other is a benign growth, that doesn't go away and needs surgery to remove it. Some women have pain with cysts, other women don't. A pelvic exam will sometimes find them. Ovarian cysts are most reliably diagnosed by ultrasound.
