Skin resurfacing: Acne scars are technically never removed but you try to help the skin look smoother. First, active acne has to be controlled. The skin can then be helped by improving the contour problems. Skin resurfacing is done with chemical and laser peels. If you have "ice pick" scars then you may need to have these excised before you do skin resurfacing. Each face will need to be evaluated.
