Yes.: Smoking is harmful to the lungs. Smoking can lead to the development of malignancies (lung cancer). Smoking can cause decrease in elasticity / flexibility of lungs resulting in less endurance and over time leading to emphysema. Smoking can worsen or cause hypersensitivity / asthma. There are more costs to smoking that just the cost of buying cigarettes.
