What is a good way to determine if you have dry socket?

Pain: Dry socket is a very painful condition that will sometimes happen about 3 or 4 days after an extraction. The healing blood clot is lost and the bone is exposed and does. Not heal properly. The dentist or oral surgeon who did the extraction can help. So call if youmthinkmyoumhave a dry socket.

Dental evaluation: Severe pain, generally 2-3 days following the extraction of a tooth, when there was less pain prior, is a typical indication of a dry socket. A trip to the dentist who can place some medication in the socket usually relieves pain and causes natural healing to resume quickly. If in doubt, have your dentist take a look as it is always better to be safe than sorry.
