Unsure of the Q: If you have a toothache, it will often times come and go. Occassionally it will be mild, other timese severe. You should use these sensations as warnings that there is a problem and have it evaluated by a dentist or endodontist. Some over-the-counter medications (tylenol (acetaminophen) and/or ibuprofen) are able to lessen the pain, but it has a good chance of returning if not addressed.

Need help: You can't "cure" a toothache with any otc meds. They may temporarily mask symptoms, but will not treat the causative infection. Time to bite the bullet...Call your dentist to treat your chronic problem before it becomes acute.
