See below: It depends on the WBC differential, but a WBC of 3300 is slightly low. An absolute neutrophil count of less than 1000 indicates an increased risk of getting a bacterial infection. The low WBC count could indicate a viral infection. It could be a side effect of a medicine you are taking. It also could be nothing and might be normal (5000-10000) on repeat testing.
