Eustachian tube: dysfunction. The tube from the ear to the nose that allows air to pass to equalize pressure can be dysfunctional despite normal hearing tests. This condition may improve with antihistamines and/or nasal steroids. In the extreme case, placing a tube in the ear can be helpful.
