VERY,VERY HIGH: "anopheles quadrimaculatus" is the most important species in the eastern United States regarding malaria transmission. In the western United States, it's "anopheles freeborni"."anopheles punctipennis" found in the contiguous U.S. States- however, it is not the natural vector of malaria.
