After being on hc of 20-30mg for 7 yrs for partial ai, and acth remains in normal range on hc (not suppres'd) and is > 65 after 1 day off hc, can mayo determine if partial ai is primary or secondary?

I am sure Mayo Can: Mayo clinic is one of the most reputable medical centers in us. I am sure they can explain and answer all your questions and concerns. Important thing is to keep your regular check ups ANS ask the questions.

Yes: If you really need hydrocortisone, then it would be dangerous do delete it totally. Speak w/your doctors and follow their recommendations. Your acth is higher than would be expected if you're taking hc regularly. Cortisol level may reflect hc still in your system or your endogenous production. Very complicated case that needs one-on-one analysis, not the internet.
